"I have worked with numerous realtors over the years. I had bought and sold two homes before moving to San Antonio, and as a result of those experiences, I had found that many realtors offer a lot of talk but little in the way of follow-through. Angie Peel was completely different from all of those! She was everything I could have hoped for in a realtor when purchasing a home here. Having a knowledge of the local market is essential, and she was familiar with the neighborhoods and areas where we looked at properties and able to speak to some of their strengths, weaknesses or unique characteristics. She also knew what homes were selling for in different areas and what the current inventory was like. Beyond that, though, she is someone who does her research on every part of the process. This was particularly useful when it came to making offers on properties or negotiating details of a contract. I happened to buy my San Antonio house in a "seller's market," but Angie was always able to offer advice, backed up by specifics, on what she thought was a fair price on a property, even when that was well below the asking price. And, depending on what I was able or willing to offer, when faced with a multiple offer situation, she had many creative ideas for other ways to interest the sellers in my offer. It's also crucial to point out that she was always very responsive to my texts, e-mails and phone messages. I could count on hearing back relatively quickly, and it was always clear that she had read or listened to the details of my messages. I have worked with some realtors in the past who were never able to find the time to show properties that interested me, but Angie made the time, even during the busiest days of the holiday season in December 2020. Beyond being responsive, though, she was proactive about all kinds of things. Most realtors these days rely on setting up services that inform buyers when new listings come on the market, but Angie not only set up the service, she noted what sorts of homes interested me, and would text me separately to bring some of them to my attention (including the home that I eventually purchased). Buying a home is a stressful, if not maybe the most stressful, endeavor anyone has to take on as an adult. Between house hunting, offer negotiating, or even understanding paperwork, everything about the home buying process is designed to stress a person out like nothing else.
